Will the RSD 6.5 components hanle a Kicker ZR360

I been thinking about getting the Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5 component set for about a year now. Would a Kicker ZR360 crossovered at 80 hertz at 24db be to much power.

Could I get away with 60 hertz 24 db slope?

My current setup is a 1997 RF punch 225.2 on a set of 2000 series Kicker resolution RS 5 component set.

When I but a ZR360 on those the 5 inch mids just can't handle the power.

I love my kicker R25 tweets what would people think about keeping the Kicker tweets and useing the 6.5 inch mids from the Phoenix RSD 6.5 component set?

what kind of power does that amp do? and even if it does to much just set the gains right and you'll be golden. you can never have to much power anyway.

Youll probably like the rsd tweets better anyways and yeah they should be good at 60hz 24db. that amp was benched at roughly 140 x2 at 4 ohms and is only rated for 90 so you'll be fine..

Kicker underrated it at 90w per channel at 4ohm, but its really around 125w to 130w per channel. I picked up one back in 02 and used it for a few years, very solid old school amps.

i have mine crossed at 63hz/12db and they handle it fine. i have also played them full range from time to time at pretty high volumes and i haven't experienced any distortion or bottoming out. they handle the lows very well.

Thanks guys I think I am going to start runnig Phoenix Gold. Everthing I have read in the last year it sounds like they are comming back into their own.

I heard Phoenix Gold and Kicker were not friends.

Id not use that amp with those speakers

My opinion and mine only. The Kicker ZR amps are my favorite amps. Fully regulated power supply perfect flat frequency response Always have far more power than what they should have and lastly those amps have no crap on them just a gain control ( I don't care for the module docking port) They were built for one thing and one thing only to produce clean solid power.
