Will RCA's touching each other cause a fuse to blow?

I just installed my CD7000 today. Well after we soldered all of my wires together we gave it a test run. it turned on and worked fine. After we finished installing everything my fuse inside the engine bay for cig lighter/radio/clock blew. I tried to replace it and it blew right after i put it in.

I was wondering if RCA's touch each other behind the head unit will it cause a fuse to blow? Don't know whats wrong with it yet i havent pulled my dash apart since we finished. it was late and i was frustrated.

it shouldnt, my RCA's are touching. That's werid, if any fuse blew it should've been the one on the +12 volt power wire on the head unit harness. Maybe just recheck the wiring.

RCA's touching will not blow any fuses or damage anything.

But after we soldered everything we gave it a test and it worked fine. After I finished installing everything we put it in again and the fuse blew. Replaced it and it blew right when i tried to put it in.. I am hoping something is touching the cig lighter. I havent had time to pull it out yet.

yeah, just get a good sleep and recheck tommrow, might be a little simple mistake u made. I know I've made some when working 8+ hours on my car. BTW the CD7000 is a great unit ;-)

the only issue will be if the RCA sheild touches the +12V line.
