will my ZX1500.1 KILL my 2 10" R's??

I obviously am not smart but never claimed to be.

I have blow up type r's with sub channel on my old memphis belle.

Hopefully you have better luck than I did.

I don't think this has ever been the reaction before. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I wouldn't worry about it though. ::

If the gain and low pass filter are set correctly,you will hear the cliping and or distortion long before you blow the sub.Your bass will sound like crap.Driving them hard is great!Why waste good subwoofers if you don't have to?

For the record the bass sounded clean (to me) when i blew mine but the were rear firing into the trunk of the car. obvioulsy I overdrove them don't get me wrong but they sounded good wile being overdriven.

if you have nicer subs like type r's they don't always distort as much as you think they just thermally fail.

that is what happened to mine. too much heat through the coils it had nothing to do with distortion.

If you take a wire rated for x number of watts and put more through it it gets hot and then can fuse.
