Will loud bass hurt the car?

I'm just getting into the car audio scene, and I want to know some stuff about loud bass and how it will affect the car. I recently ordered a eD 13Ov.2 and a nine.2x to power it. It will be put into the eD spec box for the sub (1.5 cubes @ 30 hz).

I heard this set-up will be quite loud in my car (rsx type s). With that said, I have hread some of my friends with previous systems complain that the vibrations from their subs have hurt a lot of their parts. I'm going to have a few engine mods as well, and I don't want things to rattle off or whatnot.

So will the bass end up hurting my car in any way? I'm talking about small things too, such as making parts loose and resulting in rattling when the bass is off.

yea, soon your lug nuts holding your wheels will get loose 1st. then ur cars wheels will just roll away from you during a turn, without warning. still want bass?

Your interior will rattle, and some panels will become loose, as for your engine and performance parts. You should be fine, back in the day on some OBDII cars, louder systems would interfere with the knock sensor in the block and cause your ignition timing to retard resulting in a loss of performance but that's been remedied in todays vehicles. In other words, your fine.

edit: and as skadude said, your interior will get loose over time from normal driving

haha interesting

the problem is, my car is already known to have some rattle issues with the dash. It only has 2000 miles on it and it is already starting to show signs of rattles. With that said, i dont know how well it will hold up with bass..

is the 13ov.2 strong enough to loosen things up? I know its not that powerful compared to some of your 2000 watt systems
