ok guy's and gals which one would you choose from the solox 12 or the hifonics goliath 3212 i know the 3212 holds more power but i have also seen a solox 12 take 5000 watt burps but the goliath takes 6400 burps i have also been looking at the mt 12"s

put the crack pipe down bro, there's absolutely no way a Hifonics Goliath 3212 can even be considered in the same category as a Solo X 12 and an MT 12.

I personally owned all 3 and the 3212 from Hifonics just came apart....WAY before 6400 watts, so I don't know what in the hell you're talking about bro.

The Solo X and the RE MT yeilded the exact same scores in both my CRX and my Truck. Different boxes mind you, but the same score none the less. Same Power, everything.

You can't go wrong with a Solo X or a MT, but please stop thinking that the 3212 can take 6400 watts....better yet, I hope you don't think a single MM4000.1 is actually giving it 6400 watts, let alone the 10,000 watts you claimed on another forum.

I'm not bashing on you bro, I just think your testing methods are....well...lets say a tad unconventional //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

hey guys my bad it was not the 3212 i was talking about it was the 3215 goliath. hey i can show the 4000.1 doing 100.2 ac volts off of the speaker leads i have talked to 2 or 3 people and they say that is the clostest mesurement to get the rms power out of the amp without bying a asyliscope. all you have to do is take the amount of voltage off of the speaker leads and times it by itself and divide it by the ohm load the speaker are putting on the amp it is within 5% of the actual power that it is producing so it is realy doing about 9000 to 9500 rms at 1 ohm

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif No my friend... It may be putting that out, but it is not unclipped power. The only true way to find the maximum RMS output of an amplifier is to use an o-scope.

And if you are doing that to your amp, good luck with it lasting.

hey its not clipping the amp did clip before i turned down the gain it made a funny cliking noise but i turned the gain down and it stop cipping right at 100 ac volts and it sending it clean

AC Voltage is only part of what you need bro. That formula you have was one used back in the day, but to more accurately determine your power output you need AC Voltage AND AC Amperage as well as the actual impedence during your burp..... i.e. reactive load

you are NOT getting 10,000 watts out of an MM4000.1 at all. Not with your battery supply, not in those conditions, not at all.

At 3 ohms reactive they will do their rated power and more of around 4300 watts or so for a burp, but thats about it.

You are probably seeing 2k-3k watts out of that amp at best.
