why do my subs hit harder/lower with my car turned off? i would think it would be louder running...

i was listening to a project pat song while driving and it was hitting ok. i got to the park (lunch break) and turn off the car and leave the stereo on. same song was shaking everything. i dont get it. anyone explain this phenomenon?

car was parked, engine running. i tested this and it is true. car off the notes hit lower. car on, will not hit the lowest notes...

Yeah i would just imagine its because you dont have the other noise from the car moving and engine to drown out anything. Also when your car is off with a stereo going you will notice more of the rattles and vibrations i assume.

test your voltage at the amp while playing...engine on and engine off...what are the numbers?

and test the output side as if you were setting gains....what is the voltage; engine on and off?

yeah it has good days and bad days... that was a good day.

Tell me about it, job did a complete flip on me, current employer is bullshitting, so seeking new employment at the time:crap:

Good news is the kicks are in the works, just waiting on my tax money to ship them off and get the new ones made, and to put together a lil system for a min.
