It's a disaster though and very expensive. I am not sure if people have to pay a monthly premium though. My ex works at a hospital and people on TennCare go to the emergency room for care that normally would go through PCP  (headaches, sore tooth, cuts that are fixed with band aides). That's what makes it very very expensive.They also get a voucher for a taxi after riding in on an ambulance. So what people without cars do is call an ambulance to get a ride to the hospital and then use the voucher to get where they need to go.</blockquote>
