Message: <blockquote data-quote="BigJohnson" data-source="post: 3601541" data-attributes="member: 545018"><p>My concern with this is that I am one of the people who was responsible enough to say that "I cannot afford to spend 500,000 on a house in LA" and now I am essentially being punished for it.  Due to saving the people who were irresponsible with their money it is going to slow the rate in which housing costs fall, thus forcing me to wait longer to buy a home, if at all.  Since we can bail out irresponsible people how about the government covers my down payment?  It's just frustrating to live in a time when a household making a six figure income cannot afford a home....</p></blockquote><p></p>
