The federal government gives out earned income tax credits to poor people for having children while being poor, and it can be a significant amount of money. It seems like a liberal welfare program to me, and it probably encourages people who are not financially able to support children to have them, but i digress from my intended point. If we, as a society, are going to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor, it seems to me that the rich should have the right to impose some restrictions on the conditions under which the wealth is to be distributed. The government, as proxy for the rich, should require that anyone wishing to claim the earned income tax credit to supply certification that the child attends class regularly and maintains satisfactory academic progress. These conditions should also apply to all other welfare programs. If a parent isn't able to financially support their children, and ensure that their children are attending school and following the rules, then the children should be taken from the worthless parents until the parents can do one or the other. Another condition we should apply to welfare is mandatory use of a long term contraceptive such as an implant or shot. If you cant afford to take care of your children (and also ensure they get an education) then you surely don't need any more children. By doing this we could probably make great strides in reducing the worthless human trash our society produces and rid our country of its most parasitic elements within a few generations.
