Methadone is a good thing when used properly...but a whole different animal when abused. Usually it ends up being a way to get junkies addicted to "legal" drugs that they have to pay the clinic for rather than buying dope on the streets.A "shooting gallery" doesnt seem like a step towards helping addiction in my opinion. So  they can go shoot up in a building rather than a park or other public place, that just means they have a safe place to shoot up. How will that help? Yes, you can point them in the right direction for treatment...that doesnt mean they will take it.</blockquote>
