I think he's talkin' about something else when he says output at +10, but dunno what.As for keeping things down to 49, that just means that your gains are higher than they should be - you want your gains as low as possible while still getting the volume you want when your v-knob is turned to the maximum prior to clipping. so, if the units don't clip until 78 (or whatever the determined level is, and it is definitely not 49), then that's where you really want it, I would think.
