Why MECA >>> ALL, or vice versa

I have to write an evaluative arguement ~5 pages long on anything, so why not about car audio organizations? So, instead of asking for ideas and such, let's argue (that way I get ideas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif). Try to keep it clean although it's probably going to get hostile a few pages in. . .

I'll start. MECA pwns all because of the fuse system. You don't need the highest end equipment (lots of $$$) or hit deep in the 150 range to be competitive like in DbDrag. You also aren't constricted to a very limited line of amps to be competitive like the 4 ohm rating in usaci.

From what I understand, and what has been reccomended to me, you still need a high end amp.

I think bacerace is more of where it's at all orgs have a version of that.

i compete in meca simply because of all the shows in Tn. /KY. /In. even Al. this year had quite a few all the other orgs is just to much driving to get to the shows now i do compete in other orgs shows when they are close enough...

Why Meca Sucks?

1. The lowest class, AS1, was won last year by someone with prototype subs ( still arent commecially availible ) and a 2500 dollar amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

2. When the fuse system wasnt used the lowest classes were dominated by amps that could be had for 300 bucks and the regular joe with is 1000d wasnt in a class with someone with 2 4kw amps

3. Meca decided to add more classes this year even tho at finals last year it ran way over in time and didnt have full classes.

4. Meca made a fuse rule without making a voltage cap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ( power = voltage * current //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

5. If u dont live in IL, KY, or TN u dont count as part of meca

Kind of. I've been able to be very competitive with an amp that cost me $150. In DbDrag, there is no amp limiting factor (besides the number of amps you can use). Therefore, if you want to be competitive, you'd better buy the biggest amps you can find if you want to hang.

But yeah, each has it's own deviation of a 30 second average. I don't like bassrace because it's kinda like braket racing, no fun IMO.

Yeah, same here. Although I do like MECA because you still can be very competitive on a budget.

Thanks! I agree on a few of those. But #4 is out. There is a voltage cap now.

EDIT: Lightbulb went off! I think I'll argue about rules and use car audio as my example FTW!

But its common knowledge that you have to have a CRX to be successful at a national level in MECA for street classes. Dont beleive me? eh, i love bassrace style. one note wonders are impressive, but more versitile systems get my attention.

i love the format of driveby in meca and bassrace for dbdrag. i juss wish dbdrag had more shows in IL. that would be the org i'd be doin and wha im thinkin of doin next season. but MECA is also fun, juss wish finals was more on the lines of DBdrags and was in nice facilities like drags. but MECA is fun, juss hope they get rid of MX class next season, becuz it really sux'd
