Why Cdt over 60.7cs, Spr-17s, Boston Sl60, RSD

I need someone to convince me to get the Cdt. I like an aggressive sound and people keep saying the Cdt's are warm and laid back sounding. I listen to mostly rap. I can't hear the Cdt before I buy. I heard the Infinities and they sounded good compared to some Focals. I do love the tweeter on the Kappa. A lot of people talk bad about the Infinities on the forums. It seems like the Alpines would be awesome, since the Type R sub is so good. I was wanting to use all Alpine speakers for a change, but if these other comps are going to walk all over the Alpine, let me know? I was also considering some RE Comps. I'm trying to be cheap about this. I will be running 2 comp sets for front stage. I'm working with 220x2 or 110x4 of MTX power. I'll probably be running 2 SWR-1242d or 4 CVR12's if that helps? I don't want the bass to over power the comps. I was looking at the 130 rms Cl-61 with the 1 inch tweeter. Any suggestions?

$150 max for each comp set. I wanted to stay at $250 for both sets, but if $50-$75 dollars more is going to be a night and day differene in loudness and SQ, I'll spend it.

Just spend $330 for fronts and get Rainbow Powerline CMX 265 Kicks. They will be more than loud enough off 2x160-200w rms to do the job. There are a few authorized dealers here on the forum.

I can only get 220 a channel if the Rainbows are 2ohm with one set. I still don't thing they will keep up with 4 12's, but I've never heard them. I've ran some pretty strong stuff myself, and it seems like quanity is the way to go. I can see how that one set of Rainbows can be just as loud as 2 set of RE comps? Two of the RE will be about $275 w/o shipping. I'm a wrong about this?

The Rainbows are not 2ohm the final load is 4ohm. DejaWiz is saying forget running 2 sets of comps and spend the money on one really good set of comps. The Rainbows are a great choice.

I would also take a look at the Pioneer 720PRS they will save you a little money if you are concernec about it.

If you want to run CDT then I would go with one set and I would look at the HD-62.IMO

MTX TA3404 bridged --> 1 set of Rainbow CMX Kicks getting ~2x200w rms = joy. Should keep up with 4 12's just fine.

They better be as loud as you guys are saying. I heard one set of QSD's struggle a little bit trying to keep up with one 12w7 in a Ford Excursion. So you guys are saying that one good Rainbow set is just as loud as two of the others mentioned? CDT,RSD, and Boston to be specifc? One last time, are you sure?
