Why are people so loyal to JL...

I doubt it is just in my area, but so many kids just automatically assume JL is the best. I dont think JL is bad, i have heard many good installs, but kids seem so ignorant to other brands. Does this problem occur elsewhere? Are most all teenagers biased to JL?

I seem to hear alot of Rockford Fosgate here. It's just a phase. Many moons ago I remember it was Pyle. Then MTX, Kicker, Cerwin Vega etc...... As those did, JL will eventually be replaced.

Because for a few years now JL has been the "IT" brand everyone thinks JL makes the best product yes i agree the make a good product , But being narrow minded will stop you from seeing other great products that are far more worth your investment. Honestly I prefer having somthing no one has heard of and blowing them away.

i still have respect for JL, but i wouldnt run them anymore since ive seen lines such as RE, Adire, etc

Einzee, I dont think its accurate to say those brands are "done" sure they have seen their more popular days, but by no means have they gone out of business.

Yea, JL and Rockford was all i heard in school...Not to mention Kicker. So when i pulled up with my SI Magnum D2, i basically got laughed at.....That is until they actually heard it....So the businessman in me came out. I started to make a profit off their narrow minds. They would constantly tweak their systems, buy this and that, then meet me after school by my car....Bets started off at 10 dollars....If u wanted to try again, u had to double it the second time. I wouldnt even dream of letting them hear my system for free. It became an everyday event after school....Some kid will be sitting there with the money already on my hood. Man i miss High School already

I am partial to Alpine and JL. I like them both alot. Out of all the brands that I have heard, in real life, I prefer them to the rest. I am more set on 70%SQ and 30%SPL MAYBE 60/40. I have not heard any REs (like what i see though as far as SPL) or Adire or many other 'unheard' of brands. But I am partial to Alpine overall. As of now im deciding between 2 Alpine 12" type-Xs or 2 JL Audio 12" w7's....

They are scared to admit to themselves that they got ripped off. To ease the suffer of spending too much for too little, they lie to themselves and say.

YEAH man, I got the best quality subs(JL), but you have too much trouble hearing him cause your own system consisting of a couple sonic fx subs makes it seem like he isnt even there

I think BestBuy and Circuit City have alot to do with the trend.....Thats why I respect what Kicker has done in maintaining itself in the smaller, restricted market- As JL and RF cash in, their reputation in exchange does not have the weight it used to

I was a fan of internet-based and forum favored products. The Elemental Design subs were FANTASTIC. They were 2 10"s that his SO HARD. The way I had them setup, some people thought I had 3 15"s. It was awesome having that feeling. I chose JL Audio over another internet company when I got my new truck because not only was I hooked up ($800 for two W7's, at a retail store...friend hookup!!!), but I wanted to HEAR something in person at a store. There were other good brands, but the JL's just kicked so much *** as in clarity, the deep notes, and the overall sound. GREAT SUBS. They are just so expensive and mainstream. It's cool to have an "unheard of" company, but to me, it's not a factor when purchasing audio equipment.

By the way, I LOVE my JL's, and I also loved my E10's. Both were great, and internet retailers are great too, just as long as you have heard POSITIVE feedback. I must admit, I was VERY close to buying a Brahma or XXX a few times. D4MN YOU GUYS AND YOUR CONVINCING WAYS!!!

People like JL because they make a great product. I don't understand why people bash JL so much. Sure, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for. There is more JL bashing then there is Pyle, Legacy, and Sony combined.

JL products are good but overpriced, it's just not worth it when you can get equal or better quality stuff for a good deal less. plus i think funkmaster flex saying the JL car was the "hottest whip in da joint" at the spring break nationals kinda made alot of kids see JL as gold
