I may go see it in the imax I saw a bootleg version and liked it enough to go pay. I think even non nerds would like it not very treky like movies lots of shit blowing up awesome effects and very minimal nerd content. I never really got into trek as a tv show but the movies (except the gay whale one) have always been good

I would suggest going to see it on the big screen. And J.J. Abrams was right.. Forget Everything You Know.

He did an amazing job in pretty much recreating the Star Trek History with this new movie.

I liked it, and it did well in the box office too. 77million.
