One of my friends went through some hard times their senior year in highschool. They where involved in a car crash and had to stay at the hospital for three months and in bed at home for another 3 after that, so they missed well over half the school year. They came back in time to finish the school year but had missed way too much to reacher graduation standards. Prior to this, my friend was on high honors and in the top 10 in the class. I think it is complete BS that the school would not work with someone in this position and would not allow them to comeback another year because they would be 20 by time they got all the credits needed to get their diploma. Something just doens't seem right, they know they Can get their GED or HSED, but it bothers them that they will have never officialy completed High School. I have never heard of it not being allowed for someone over 20 to graduate. Don't know kinda had to vent but also looking for opinions and help with the situation.
