My first was an 86 Lincoln Town Car. I had all US Amps Amplifiers/Crossovers. Orion Subs, and JL Components, about 4,000 watts total...

I had a crappy system once, while saving for something bigger. It was 2 12" Jensens and a Fultron 75x2 Competition amp...

when i was 16 i owned a Jensen amp and a Jensen sub, and a Sony sub and that Sony sub is what that old guy heard had such a shitty sound to it lmao and the Jensen amp was powering it lol then ihad to explain to the dude that bass waves travel farther then high frequency waves and the lower the frequency the farther the travel and he goes "okay thanks for that info, just keep it down, thanks" see i know my shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

First time I heard car audio I was like 7-8yrs old and I was in Stillwater OK. I was staying at my great uncles house. I was watching a movie when I started to hear boom Boom BOom BOOm BOOM BOOM BOOM! Then the place started to shake! I got scared and asked my great uncle what it was. He said Oh thats just my foster kid coming home from work. Come to find out his foster kid worked for kicker (it may have been stillwater designs then). I can remember looking where his back seat used to be and thinking it was full of speakers. I was too young to rember what size and quantity but man it was friggin loud. This had to be like 1988-89.

It wasn't until 1999 i started hearin cars with bass boomin from them and then wondered why they wanted to show off then heard stories in school that year how their shit got stolen

I started hearing them in 92, but never got in a vehicle with bass...

My niehgbor had a cousin who had a Nissan truck walkthrough full of subs, but back then it never caught my attention...

my loudest 'in car' bass i ever heard was my neighbor in august 2002 he had a 2001 Dodge Neon and those are notorious for gettin hella loud and he had 4 10 inch pioneers, 2 subs in each box and had i think 400 on each of em i sat down in his car i cranked it up had to have been in the mid 140's db range (guessing) and the bass gave me a good back massage lol then my neighbor came runnin out of his house tellin him to turn it down asap lol i was 18 at that time...
