I mainly like mainstream bands, but more so the rest of the songs on their cds. Only a few small time bands

Mainstream rap is pure shit. Most of the mainstream rock artists have some decent music, but it doesn't get played on the radio.

I just hate rap and hip hop, regardless if it is mainstream media or not, though it seems as time goes on, the songs get more annoying.

Edit: The rock genre hasn't been too great recently in my opinion either. If I don't have a CD of EBM or other industrial playing, I just tune to one of the three rock stations around and if I don't like what's playing, I tune to one of the others.
