If there is a reason you cant send them in the I guess find someone, but if not you should send it in. Its free and it will not be voided and it dont take long at all..

I'm not the original owner so the warranty isn't in my name.

I can fix it, My record is 4/5

But the one I couldn't fix was an attempt to fix what someone else tried to fix and sucked as$ at doing.

also you dont have to be the original owner for the warrenty to be honored

pretty sure the only reason they didn't send it in is because it is most likely having more troubles than just the RROD. there is a high percentage that the unit was already tampered with. either done by someone who did not know what they were doing or the 360 is one of those lemons that won't be fixed by the xclamp mod.

all in all, you have about a 30% chance of fixing a RROD 360 that has been tampered with off ebay.

I regret not waiting till I could afford an HDTV. Maybe I can just sell mine locally and put it all towards a new Elite.
