Ok im starting to build my comp system? I know there is meca and dbdrag in my area and im sure theres midwest spl and maybe some other orgs. (im in minnesota) But i got a single 15" XL and have to build a box and get an amp, now I was thinking if I get a 2k watt amp and buil below the window line that should fit me into most amateur street classes right? Im just starting competing and just will be doing it for fun, so i want to be in the lowest class possible lol

How important is being below the window line? Any other tips on getting started would be awesome thanks! Should I also get a 1k amp to so i can compete in other classes also? Thanks a lit everyone, i have been reading rules on comp orgs sites

Also how are the classes for iasca and usaci? Is unlimited power allowed? thats what it looked like for iasca

I'm also just starting, rules seem pretty straight forward about window line and seat height.

I was just going to start a thread, but I'll just ask here cuz you'd probably like to know also. What does everyone play for music at the comps, some classes say no notes, bass tracks, burned cd, mp3, or usb.

Is there a specific song that works very well in getting good SPL?
