Having witnessed the Indians be both the laughing stock of the league for a long period of time, and being a dominant team that couldn't win the WS, I'd probably rather see them fail than simply win the division year in and year out. With the latter, it makes the season so much more heartbreaking. You go to the stadium. You watch all the games. You talk with everyone about how "this is the year." Your hopes and expectations soar. Then the playoffs come around and things never work out. It's infuriating and saddening. You can't even complain that much because it was still a great year, you just ran into a better team. Any fan of losing franchises (or cities, in my case) knows the value placed on complaining after the fact and second-guessing management, it's a ritual. Conversely, if your team just blows, you know what you're getting into. You don't have high hopes, you don't invest inordinate amounts of time watching every pitch, and you can always blast the owner/manager for doing something stupid.

And to think, in the span of time the Braves have utterly dominated their division, the Marlins have won twice as many championships.

I knew if I cheered for the WS for long enough eventually I wouldn't feel retarded. I was rooting for the WS when most of you were several years younger than me. That's right, bandwagon jumpers. Several. Years. Younger.

yeaaa, I hate all the friggin cubs fans around here that are rootin for the sox now. Like at Buffalo Wild Wings (a cubs bar) tons of people go there who are cubs fans to cheer on the sox....and I mean these kids are hardcore cubs fans, and talked crap about the sox all season.

But yeaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! Astros, bring it on!! How about that pitching ey? You like that....? Scare you at all??
