No they won't both work. In your second picture, the coil on the right isn't getting any power at all.

Are you trying to ask the difference between wiring series/parallel and parallel/series?

It does actually make a difference, but to small to do anything.

the first picture would be 2ohms if you only have one sub. It's wired in series.
