which way do i face the port/sub in a 2001 malibu

ok so im building a box for my friend and its just one 15 aeoro ported. question is how do i face the sub and port for good dialy sound?? I do spl so i just seal off the trunk and do sub port foward. but he cant seal off trunk so what would be best way to face?

I would go with facing the rear of the car.

^^x2 unless you are gonna seal off the trunk just go sb/pb if you go su/pu you pound the chit out of the deck lid

sub back port back will be loudest unless you seal off the trunk...

ok thats what i was leaning towards. thanks for the fast replies. will that give the most cabin gain? he only has a 450 rms sub and 400 rms amp and im tryin to get it to be as loud as possible with lack of power or woofers.

most cabin gain? a 4th order bandpass

hmmm never built a bandpass and would hate to mess up my buddies box lol. i meant with a ported box which way to face for most cabin gain

ya man i had one of them and i did sub and port back and rode around with the rear seat folded got pretty loud for 500 rms

that install can be removed in a few hrs and original rear deck cover reinstalled and poof back to stock
