OK, I am trying to decide which 6x9 speaker I should get. Here is my situation: I have the Alpine 6.5 Component Set in my front doors, and I have 2 Cerwin Vega 10 Inch Vega subs with a box built to recommended specs and tuned to 35Hz, ran by a JBL 600.1 amp at 300rms per sub. I want speakers that have very good midbass, and will sound good powered by my HU (Alpine 7892, 50x4) but can also have the potential to be powered by an amp.

I have narrowed it down to 3 speakers right now: the Alpine Type R 6x9's or the Cerwin Vega IT 6x9's or the CV HED 6x9's. Which speaker should I get?

I have only heard the Alpines and I liked them. Doesn't mean u will but out of those it is the only one I can recommend.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Speaker ratings are generally a thermal/mechanical limitation of the drivers. Music is dynamic, not continuous. During quiet periods a song, you...
