which shoukd i use?

I have either a alpine cde 9852 or a pioneer deh 1800. They look about the same for specs. The pioneer might be a bit better from the looks of it. But its not cea compliant like the alpine.. What you think guys?

Id prob go with the Alpine, just due to being able to have the option for adding a usb,and able to get a remote for it,be my only reason.

Looks like the only real difference is that the Pioneer has a built in eq and the Alpine doesn't but the Alpine has an optional usb input and the Pioneer doesn't so really you are on the same playing field, just decide which feature means more to you and price.

I'm not gunna be getting a aux cable. If I wanted that I'd use my Sony but I'm not to fond of Sony. It's a Sony cdx-gt56uiw. Should I use that instead?

Sony has been around for so many years, and Ive had several, and have never had any issues with them.My first good HU back in 89, was a Sony.Id run it,or run what ever is easiest to work with,the unit you know most about function wise,is what id run

I have an Alpine 7894 and a 7878, and I had a 7998. I guess I'd go with the Alpine, but with such an old model I'd have to be sure it works.
