[QUOTE="sporty_drew, post: 4301904, member: 571830"] I just finished up installing my 3 type r's with a jl 500/1 on each last night and it just doesn't seem to yield the output that i know it can (from messing with one of my r's in different boxes). I know that my box is on the small side because it's only 1.8 Ft^3, but it's about all the room I can get without doing a all fiberglass box to conform to the t-top holders. I'm wanting to know which one of these two you think would have a higher output and why. 3 12" Type R's 3 JL 500/1's 1.8 Ft^3 Box (0.6 Ft^3 per sub) or 2 12" Type R's 4 JL 500/1s (~1000 watts per sub) 1.8 Ft^3 Box (0.9 Ft^3 per sub) Thanks a lot guys.
