Which Oscilloscope?

I've got some gift card credit at Newegg. I'm convinced I'll continue to worry about my current setup and any future setups without checking everything with an oscilloscope. They carry a few small ones. I hear "DSO" and "Nano" around here a lot, but multiple items have these in the title.

As far as making sure nothing's clipping, which of these should I get:

you dont need a scope. use Method 2 and 3, theyll work fine. and yes, i do have a scope too, its a Velleman hps10...

Gain Settings

heres what clipping sounds like. scroll down to "Test tones clipped" and click on "1000Hz" under the big yellow warning. turn your speakers down first. a clipped tone has a metallic, buzz kinda sound to it...

Why Too Little Power will NOT blow Your Speakers

heres some tones for gain setting...

Thanks for the references.

I set it like ear by that prior to your posting. I also went ahead and ordered one anyway, I think before you posted and it arrived much sooner than expected.

The way I had it set by ear was pretty accurate, it wasn't clipping, it was a tad under, but I could've turned it up a bit more. I ended up bringing the bass boost down from 12db to 0 and upping the input sensitivity from 2 to 0.5 using the oscilloscope.

The only thing I haven't quite figured out yet is how to test the RCA outputs for the head unit, but I'll look into that tomorrow.

I realized that a lot of them were the same thing, just sold by different sellers and stuck into different categories.
Here's one that's on Newegg too, but I like Amazon's layout for presentation:

DSO Nano Pocket-Sized Oscilloscope: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I know very little about oscilloscopes, but would this and the range it measures be acceptable for car audio usage?
i have that exact same one. it works great for what you plan on doing with your audio
