which of these two will make me happier?

Okay, I've finally decided to get some Rainbow SLC comps, so now I need to decide on my sub choice. I'm looking for SQL. I'm torn between a JL 10w6v2 or a SS 12" RL-P. Either one should run $300 shipped. It will be in a sealed single sub enclosure. I don't want to take up a lot of room w/ a ported box. The sub will be powered by a Phoenix Gold xenon 600.1.

rl-p is teh win!
I plan on doing a Rl-p Vs. SI BM series soon!

Price is practically the same, and I want to see how they compare. I have used the RL-p drivers before, and from what I heard about the BM series I think they will stack up VERY well. But soon enough we will know.

Any particular reason why teh RL-P is teh winx0rz? Is it b/c it's better to get a 12" instead of a 10" or is it just a better SQL sub? Thanks.
Well out of those two, many people would say the RL-p is the better sub. But there are a lot more choices out there for subs that may be even better than the rl-p, for the same price.

Really? Which ones would you recommend in the sql department? I don't have much chance to hear subs since all the local shops only carry Kicker, JL, or ****-ace Sony.

I would give the rl-p the win because:

1.) I owned one and they sound extremely nice in a sealed enclosure (a lot better than my jl w3v2)

2.) They have a much higher xmax and its a 12" so it will certainly be louder than a jl10w6v2.

3.) The rl-p has a higher power handling and will appreciate your x600.1 much more than the w6 will.

AND with mike from soundsplinter, you get the best customer service ever. (he personally answers emails about enclosures and anything you want to know about the drivers. i'm pretty sure you can't contact the designer of the w6v2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
