hey gang im back havent been on the frrum in a long time. i just got a new L7 15" if any of you know me you know i love the solobarics, i tried to get away from them but i came crawling back like a crack addict.... anyways, i used the search button and got some confusing answers to my simple question. whats the best seem sealer to use for my box? liquid nails? silicone caulk? i thought maybe silicone would flex a lot and change the acoustics of the box. It's probably a negligable (sp) loss in any case. anybody ?

Well, if your cuts are on the actual seal should be created by the wood glue used in the joints. The additional sealer (like silicone) is more of a precautionary measure just to be sure....so no, it really shouldn't "flex" at all.

Anyways...for just a sealer over the seems after the enclosure is together, silicone will work fine. But that is in addition to the wood glue/liquid nails/gorilla glue used in the joints when constructing the enclosure.
