which capacitor to buy???

after you get your electrical problems sorted out do like I did and buy the cap that has the prettiest finish, neon ring and leds. Otherwise it really doesn't make a bit of difference. Just about all have a ESR within a few percent of each other and a 16V or 20V working voltage makes no difference on a system that never reaches above 14.4V (I guess the 20V Caps are for those using 16V batteries).

you want to isolate the problem start here drive your car around for a wile stop turn off the car don't have the system on wile you were driving it try not to put any load on the electrical system you don't need drive for like 20 mins or so . when you stop wait like 5 mins and check the voltage if it is below 12.6 you have a problme bad cell or something. If not it is ether your alt is going or you have a bad ground. To find this out go in the back and start trying to move the ground around if it moves that is the problem. if not go to autoparts store get a load test done to battery and have them check to see what your alt is putting out and if its still good. other than that it could be a bad conection at the battery or to small of a power wire or to long of a ground wire. For that system to hurt anything with a proper instal and charginsystem you would need to clipp the piss right out of it.
