I dont know much about these subs but how good are they?

How do they compare to the re sx?

Theres a kid at my school who has one and was wondering if a 15" sx will beat it.

depends on install. i hear the sx's are geared more towards spl, so maybe in db's it could be louder, but again in comes down to install. a better comparison to the magnum would be the xxx instead of the sx.

the magnum is a more sql driver, like the xxx, whereas i hear the sx is more spl.

Do a search in the subwoofer section for "magnum" and you will clearly see this is one of the best subs you can buy. Easily (if not better than) up there with all the big boys..W7, XXX, Braham etc. Best sub I've ever heard hands down.
