We have a small remnant of the same motors that Adire used to make the Koda & Brahma subs. (Not sure if we have the rights to call them Koda or Brahma or license to XBL2 trademark) We've only built some sample subs to send off for testing right now. We've used voice coils with taller windings to boost performance and Xmax numbers. We will accept further questions and of course orders or order requests for custom setups at robotunderground@yahoo.com. We'll be offering the Bender sub with our K1 motor, (Koda) and B1, (Brahma) & T1, (TC3000), motor options with both cast frames and stamped frame options on the smaller two. TC motor requires cast frame due to weight and removeable top aseembly. We also have some Tumult and TC3000 coils in some prototype HCCA subs as well which add about 40% more linear X than what TC designed for the, (oldschool),HCCA sub. We're working with taller wind height voice coils to see the diff in performance if any in the K1, B1 and HCCA motor setups. This also leads to different impedance ratings though many companies like TCSounds use say a 3ohm coil but rate it for 2ohm to keep impedance on the safe side. This DOES NOT affect the performance of your amp by any means. Setting your amp up properly will always result in maximum performance. We do have all the parts for the K1 12" and 15" subs and can take orders now if need be. We have parts for the HCCA proto 15" in an SPL version which is and aluminum dual 3ohm or SQL, (Tumult), versions that use much heavier copper dual 2 or dual 4ohm coils. We also have parts to build 15" versions of the B1 motor setup in either stamped steel frame or cast aluminum frame. This basically ends our naming contest with the subs using K,B or T to describe the motor then followed with a D2, D3, D4 or D6 to describe the voice coil setup. We are still looking for a new dustcap logo though and the prize is the same, your choice of sub, you pay shipping. We're looking for something simple and bold that can be instantly recognized.. Something like the Diamond R logo from Rockford would be fantastic. Right now subs will have our Robot logo on the dustcap or if you order the HCCA proto, an HCCA dustcap. We have several oldschool caps we scored from the ADST auction and will make them available to custom sub clients of course... Sorry no custom screenings yet, though if you make your own cap, we can glue it on as part of your custom sub deal.
