wheel well

ok I didnt know whether to put this is enclosures or what, but I need advice on putting a 15 in my well, the sub will fit I just need to know if I need to make a box into the well or just put the sub in?? thanks for any info
i dont understand what your trying to do

ok you know where the spare wheel is in cars, how you can take that floor piece out and unscrew the tire, right there, I was wondering how I would go about doing this

If ur thinking of making the wheel well into an enclosure there are many ways to do it. One of the ways that most people do it is by fiberglassing the entire wheel well. Then Making a MDF top/baffle that fits perfectly in the wheel well space. Take the fiberglass out, fiberglass the baffle to the front of the mold u already made. Then put it back in there with the sub. U find the cft by using a card board box that is 1 cft, fill it with the little packaging popcorn foam and filling the well until u find the space.

The other way to do it would be pretty much the same u make the baffle to the shape of the wheel well, then fiberglass it to the car. Of course this way is alot more permanent, hence why alot of people go with the first way.

oh ok. I see what you are talking about now. I guess you can dismiss my last post. A spare tire well is easy. Tape the floor off with masking tape. Spray glue aluminum foil on top of it. Apply resin and matt on top of the aluminum. After you have about 5 layers of matt on it let it dry for a while (it will depend on how hot you mixed the resin, the slower the drying th better but I always mix mind hot LOL) After that you just cut a piece of mdf to go on top and secure it to the fiberglass mold. Seal the inside of the enclosure with more fiberglass and matt to make sure the mdf is secure to it. After that just cover or do whatever else you want to do to it.

ummm... to "phy" I was wonderin if I could fiberglass the space the bolt a piece of mdf to the chassy then use silicone or more fiberglass to seal it up?? is this possible, I ddint really understand your way, sorry

umm... bump for more info, also I'm guessing that instead of having to bolt the mdf to the chassy I can just connect it to the trunk with the fiberglass stuff that the above post's we talking about right

also I've decided that I would rather go sql then strait sq so to get a bit more output outta this sub could I put 2 aero ports in to get more output without really taking away sq?
