wheel well shelf

well in my expedition in the back, i have a wheel well sticking up (its not squared off, its a circle)

well im wanting to make kinda like a shelf over it to hold batteries. What would be the best way to do this? my box will be against it so it just has to worry about falling forward and backwards, not sideways
