This is true. My customers demand, dictates what I need to do, and when it needs to be done, BUT I make ALL of the executive decisions on how my shop is ran. I don't have a boss within my shop telling me how to do my job. In many ways it would be a lot easier to work for AutoZone and just cash my paycheck every other week, but I find it much more rewarding to be in complete control of what I make and how to invest it and how my shop runs. It's not all golden rainbows at the top of the chain, but it is much more rewarding and fulfilling.
