what's the best amp for these speakers

I have a 96 4-door Yukon. I just bought Focal 6.5 165 CA1 (for the back), those are 60 rms and 120 peak. And Focal 6.5 165 A1 Components (for front), those are also 60 rms 120 peak. I will have a pioneer n3 dvd player powering them.

What amp would be best for these, price doesn't matter... I am looking for clean and clear sound that is also loud of course and something reliable that won't break in a year and won't overpower my speakers if i decide to turn it up... well, i aint gotta explain, yall know what amps are good for it so let me know... oh yeah, and i listen to rap and r&b, reggae but sometimes jazz too

oh yeah, in the future (no time soon tho) i plan on adding 2 15 inch subs and and amp for them but for now i want an amp for these 4 speakers...

what are your opinions about the Pioneer GM-4300F 4 channel, 40 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms... would that plus the power from the deck (22 watts rms) equal up to 62 rms per speaker which is just a tad bit over recommended rms for these speakers.

Please remember I know NOTHING about amps so feel free to flame me if this is a bad choice in you opinion... or let me know what amp you think would be good.

those won't overpower the speakers? like I said I'm new to this stuff, just don't want to blow my speakers out in a year...

well i did blow out my memphis speakers with it but thats cause i bridged em at 250 and they were ratings 50/100 haha so i got what i deserved

a few watts over a speaker wont kill it (unless its like sony or something) focal is very good

they have head room - you could prolly push 120 into it if it was clean (dont take my word just incase) but thats usually how it works

my memphis were 50/100 as i said but i had a 150 watt rms runnin them fine until i put the 250 on them =P

its more dangerous to underpower a speaker than to overpower it....

well $500 on ebay but do you have personal experience with the Focal amps or are you just recommending it cuz it matches the speakers?

anybody else got suggestions? best quality amps that will last a long time and give me good clean sound and loud:suave:

i dont have any personal exp - but im sure focal will def do its ratings very cleanly - they are a top notch brand... but thats just so much money for that small of an amp....

and just to clarify what i said before

if you buy an amp that puts out more power than your speakers are rated you can always turn the gain back - granted you're not gonna get a 2000 rms amp putting 75 watts but most of those ratings you see on amps are very close to their highest possible clean power (some over rated - some underrated) if you turn them back - they will put out less and can use a volt meter (like $10 at radioshack) to fine tune
