What year did car audio change when 600-800 watts was considered high power and would run 3-4 woofers with no problems? Now people are running 3-4 woofers with 2-3000 watts and the systems are no lower than they would be back in the day when 600-800 watts would easily get you to 150+ decibels. Was this around the same time when companies moved their buildhouses outside of the United States. I just heard a 3000 watt system with top of the line equipment and the install looked proper but I wasn't that impressed. Whereas many of the systems I heard in the 90's were much more powerful than this system with 3000 watts. The systems that I heard in the 90's averaged about 300-600 total watts and you could hear them coming about 3-4 blocks away. What year did this all change?
