Just dropped my new box in and it's obvious I need more power. I am running 2 AB XFL 1544's wired to 1ohm off of a T1500bdcp. My first thought is to get another T1500 and run one to each sub. The problem with that is they are not strapable and my box is a common chamber. I was told by the local dealer I would need to have amps with equal power output on the birthsheets from the factory or have a o-scope to sink the power output correctly. I thought that if the output voltage from the amps were both set to exactly the same ( 45v AC for example) the wattage would be equal but the local shop said that was incorrect. So for example if 2 amps have two different birthsheets (1 is 1500rms @1ohm and the other is 2000rms @1ohm) and both gains are set to 45volts on the speaker outputs is the power output the same or different???
My other option is to sell my T1500bdcp and pick up a T2500bdcp or a SAZ 2500/3000/3500
Also just want to verify my math is correct for gain: amp is rated at 1890rms @ 1ohm and subs are wired to a 1 ohm load, so (1x1890=1890) sq. rt. of 1890= 43.47v A/C is this correct?
Any input is appreciated. Thanks
