What would you charge

I'm getting back into the install game after being out for 15+ years. Anyway, I went out and talked to a guy tonight that wants me to install a system in his 89 Mustang Hatchback.

Not the exact one but this is what it basically looks like

He is wanting a full system including a single din HU, 6 1/2 separates in the doors and rear pods. A rear seat delete with plexiglass covered amps (2) and the passive x-overs (4) for the separates. He wants a single 12" sub in the rear hatch area where the spare sits. I'll need to build up a false floor to get the depth needed and also for room to relocate the battery. Top it all off with a basic alarm and LED's to accents the amps.

He told me I can design the system and precent it to him with a price but I'm having a hard time figuring out a price. I don't want to undercut myself but I don't want to quote it so hight that I scare him away.

I've been out of the business so long now that I just don't know what installs are running. I'm going to check with some local shops tomorrow but thought I would get some thoughts from you guys as well.

Oh, and he has all the components so price would be just labor or labor and materials only.

Just check around and see what shop rates are per hour and just go a little under that. He'll have no choice but to go to you and you get you some nice change, bc we all know install shops arent cheap.

Fox body mustangs are a biotch to do installs on. Make sure to add a couple hrs extra into your price for the added time and aggravation of a fox.

And to make it more fun, it has a 6 point roll bar I'll be working around. Such a joy!
