Know Y U belive what U do
To hit 140 db @ 40 Htz playing music at the windshield?

Box must be sealed, the car is a Dodge Stealth.

The amps available, Two D5000's.

I choose this because I was happy with that result in my Saturn. I currently have 2 Orion HCCA 12's but I want to be able to store my sunroof in the hatch area as well.

I have measured, and I have about 12.5" of depth under the sunroof. I am thinking about just getting a pair of HCCA 10.4's and calling it a day.

But would love some input. The less weight the better because my Stealth is turbo and don't want to weigh it down too much.

Thank you in advance for your help.

why MUST it be sealed?
Because to my understanding a sealed box "feels" louder than a ported box at the same db output.

My old setup in my Saturn was:

2 Orion 12" H2's powered by a HCCA2100. box was sealed and I hit 140 at the windshield consistently.

IF a ported but could be just as musicaly (made up word) let me know.

not much at all... hit a 143+ in my cadillac with a single 15" and 2Kw, ported though...

sealed it going to make it harder but in a hatch I would think it wouldn't be hard at all really, even sealed...

I want to be able to still place my removable sun roof back in the hatch area when I pull it from the roof.

Also lighter the better

hcca **** sealed dude lolzbut in a hatch you can use birch it shouldnt be hard at all.
I would beg to differ about the HCCA's. I went to a MECA comp to listen to how the HCCA's perform before I bought them.

When they first came out, Orion techs where only recommending sealed enclosures.

6 HCCA 15's sealed wil 1/2 the RMS wattage being fed to them produced 151.7db at the headrest with a T/L.

This is going into a SQL build and need hatch space for "Other audio stuff" as well
