what will an equilizer do for me?

i was lookin into gettin an equilizer for my one 12w3. i no it controls your bass but how can it improve the sound oes it improve sq or spl or what.

It will improve Sq, and its not just a control for your bass.

you can fine-tune the sound of your system by increasing or decreasing the output of certain frequencies across the frequency range. It's really a nice feature, I'd like to install one myself.

but if your thinking of adding one just for a sub, don't bother. The bass boost on your head unit does that (not that I recommend using it).

the EQ is for adjusing frequencies throught the entire frequency band.

Get a carputer and you can have an amazing eq. As many bands as your processor can handle. parametric style.

there are two basic types of EQ's. inside those two types are the certain frequencies. there are Parametric Eq'a that offer a wider selection of frequencies than some Graphic Equilizers. These kind offer a fixed amount of sliders.
