Might have a buyer for my Focus, and would like some opinions on other cars.

Looking to spend around 6000 on this car. Preferrably an import. Preferrably a hatch, maybe even something like a Eclipse though. I don't want to deal with a trunk unless I have to lol

Main thing: Has To Be A Reliable Car

I was thinking something like an older Civic Hatch, but would love other opinions.

Good luck with finding an eclipse that is reliable

best bet IMO is an accord v6, you can get a decent one for around 6k, itll have around 120-140k on it though but its an accord...

whats wrong with your zx3?

The main thing, its not reliable and a PITA...need a new power steering pump, just replaced some belts, horrible gas mileage, my window mechanism broke, I have a leak in my hatch(I assume from the subs, but still), my car jumps outta alignment after hitting the slightest bumps, etc..

And dealing with gas mileage, have changed fuel filter, air filter, and plugs, didn't really notice a difference.

i havent had any problems with mine.

But i dont have that many miles yet. Only about 20K (in 6 months).

And, now I'm up to 41k on it. Took me a year and and half to get there....driving to work 30 minutes away 4 days a week ftl.

Golfs are good, Civic hatch is also a good idea for reliability, and both can be bought in your price range

5 speed. Also its an 06 with the duratec. They are supposed to be reliable.. we will see.

I commute about 65 miles each way 4 days a week, just for school, plus the driving i do for fun on the other 3 days a week.

if it starts to fuk up i will just trade it in on a fit or mazda3.
