what to get for

i want real deep bass...i got 2 10's in a custom box and its loud...but im getting 2 12's now...either the pioneer spl3004's or 2 L7's...im gettin all the amps so whatever i get will be powered right...1500 wats each to either setup...but what gets loud..deep bass...probably goin in a sealed box too..not enough room for 2 12's in a lancer for a ported

the deep bass comes from the port. if your set on a sealed box, then you don't have many options. the only thing i can say is make it as big as you can fit in there to the get the freq. as low a possible...even then you may not be able to get it as low as you'd like....your still in a sealed enclosure.

Actually, all else being equal (same subs, same power, proper enclosure sizing ~ the only difference being sealed or ported) a sealed enclosure will normally hit lower....just not as loudly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

A sealed box will get "lower" than a ported box at 30Hz...just the ported enclosure will have more "Authority" around the tunning frequency.

the thing is i just dont think im gonna have the room to fit a ported box..two 10's in my ported box are fit right in...n i mean its gonna be loud anyway...ported will probably jus destroy the car...but i just want deep bass..like my friend has 2 memphis audio subs in a ported box..and he hits the lows..in a small sealed box...my 10's jus dont do that...maybe cuz the lowest it is says 25hz....???

my old setup, ported 3002spl 1.7cubes@27Hz hit the lows with authority:naughty: and that was only of 700watts, that thing slammed for the price. i also put it in a 1.9cu@34Hz box and it was loud as hell, didnt quite hit the lows as nice, but it sounded slightly better overall.

I actually have a Lancer also and had 2 12" L7's in the back in a sealed box and it was pretty rediculous. You won't be dissapointed. By the way if you have a 03 like i do you can do around 2.2cu ft per sub ported, unless you got two seperate boxes you could probably squeeze 2.5cu ft, or do some tricky stuff with a box.

Dam trunk height entrance is only 14 1/4 inch and then inside its like 15, it pisses me off too don't worry.
