HOWEVER, there is only 5.75" MAX of mounting depth. This is going behind the seat in my truck and sadly I can't move the seat to gain any more room. I will most likely buy an amp to match the subs but just looking for advice from those in the know about what is out there on the market and what is really worth spending money on. Thinking of either 10's or 8's and looking for more of an SQ setup than getting stupid loud.

I know I could throw kicker CVT's in there and call it a day but I think there must be a better alternative out there that will fit and sound better. Let me know and hopefully I can get to ordering and building.

I know JL has a good reputation and I have no reason for it but I am pretty much ruling them out, not really any reason though just looking for something different, and generally different than everyone else.

Gonna definitly take a look into the infinities I had a pair of 12" infinity reference subs in my car and they sounded great, only on a few songs could I get them to hang up. They had plenty of output for me as well each being in 1.25 ft^3 sealed with 300w rms.

Right now I am looking at RE, Phoenix Gold, or Treo kinda leaning towards the treo ssi but I can't seem to find much on them, they have crazy power handling to anything else I can find that will fit my requirements.

lol, i just saw that you have an infinity front and rear soundstage... You should just stick with infinity. You obviously like the way they sound if you liked the reference subs you heard. The perfectsa are 100x more accurate than the reference series. You will be very happy with them. And you can throw more than their rated RMS at them without a hiccup as long as it is in the proper box and you have clean power.
