What the heck are "horns"?

Horn loaded compression driver (hlcd) are what is usually referred to as horns. They are drivers placed in the end of a horn and the mouth opens up and disperses sound. They are very efficient drivers that can sometimes be used to take the place of a tweeter and midrange and are usually mounted under the dash. Midbasses are still needed when running compression drivers.
