[QUOTE="devin171moto, post: 8702592, member: 679009"] I'm in the middle of getting all the final tuning for 2 sa'12s in a center slot box. I orgional set my gain with a 40hz 0db sign wave. I've heard alot of people debate this, saying its for radio mixes that are recorded super low. I listen to mostly rebassed r@b and rap music. i try to stay below 35hz as over 40 is harsh to my ears i dont particarly like it. I've heard of people using -3 and -6db for rebass stuff. subce my amp is a 3k and the sa's are pushing 1500-2k watts. I want to find a point where I'm maximizing peak (tuned to 29hz) while also not over excurting if i play say a 24hz track. so i'm just going to listen for mechanical distortion from the subs and set it that way. but im worried about a random 22hz wave in music slamming my voicecoil into my basket.
