What is?

You think you are accessing the web crawlers when you type in a query?
So you DO think you are doing a book search when you look at the card catalog in a library. That makes sense as to your confusion over Google web crawls and the index reader.
Do you think you can quote a line from a Tom Clancy novel by looking in the card catalog?

THEIR words: "uses software known as web crawlers that explore the web regularly to find pages to add to our index" YOUR QUERY ON THE GOOGLE PAGE IS NOT CRAWLING THE WEB TO GET YOUR ANSWER, IT IS SIMPLY OPENING THE CARD CATALOG TO THE SPOT THAT TELLS YOUR WHERE THE INFO IS.
Sorry if that ruins your visions of little nanobots scrambling around to get your link.

So, are you going to ask for a fact or not?
Stop arguing Rob. Google is a SEARCH ENGINE. It is NOT AN INDEX. It HAS AN INDEX. When you type your query into that box under the word GOOGLE, you are using the search engine. YOU ARE NOT SEARCHING THE INDEX, GOOGLE'S SEARCH ENGINE IS, GET THIS, SEARCHING THE INDEX FOR YOU TO FIND THE INFORMATION YOU REQUESTED. How much more slowly do you need it explained to you and how many more times? I told you already, just try understanding something the first time. When you argue as much as you do people will begin to suspect that you just don't understand anything.

"Hey Bobbytwinsac, pull up the "Google Index" and tell me about Trumps top secret documents" Moron.
Expenses over time.
Do you fill up a storage tank in your yard when prices are at a peak, and then fill your car from that, or do you go the the pumps 1-3x a week like most people?

I personally fill at the pump; my annual purchases can be calculated for a weekly average.
It’s called “budgeting”. My local electricity provider does a similar thing. They even let you pay the estimated average each month so your bills can be more consistent.
That would be handy for gasoline, eh?
Too lazy to use the actual prices you pay? Just average it out... it will get you close enough huh?

No matter how you try to parse it...your 10 cent per gallon claim falls apart...

It’s really troubling that even in the smallest sampling of people we have in this forum, there are so many people who have little to no understanding of basic mathematics and budgeting.
This is shit that you should’ve learned by or in high school, and yet you’re all completely baffled by it. Thinking that averages are fake numbers used for nefarious means, thinking it’s valid to compare nominal prices that are years or even decades apart, not even knowing what “real prices” or the CPI represent, complete failure to understand percentages.
It’s actually a sad commentary on the general public, unless the forum members posting g here over-represent the unknowing in society.
One could hope.

Ok...if there was only a 10 cent increase...why is gas still over a dollar more than the end of '20?

Parse it all you want...You're wrong and flat out refuse to admit only a 10 cent bump is bullshit 🤣🤣🤣

So go fuck off and post on a forum where you think people understand you then. Perhaps backdoor.com or myholeyourhole.com or monkeypoxisgaylube.org. I don't want to speak for anyone else but I don't care for you constantly telling us we don't understand something because we don't agree with how you are using something or in the context in which you use it.

You like to live your life your way, have at it. We will all live how we like as well. You are making the choice to talk shitty to people so expect it in return. It's a sad commentary... stfu. You ain't special. You are so biased that you will find anyway you can to justify today's numbers created by the people you voted for. That's fine too, have at it. Don't expect that everyone else won't call bullshit on you. Right now, today Sept. 12th 2022, $10 is more than $2.50. That is what is relevant and what matters.

Because it’s a comparison of real prices, not nominal prices. If you don’t understand inflation, nominal prices, real prices, and the CPI, why in hell would you argue about them?
I’ll ask a question again since neither you nor Thxone have answered the last one: Which cost more, a car purchased for $10,000 in 2016, or one purchased in 2022 for $11,600?

Better yet, we are at a national average of $4.20/gal to this point in 2022.
The average price in 2016 adjusted for inflation was $4.66 per gallon.
Which number is higher?

Because nobody cares about adjusted prices when they're coming out of pocket...you tried to use cpi to back your claim of a 10 cent price increase...and that's bs...

So now inflation is BS? You might want to let Thxone know. He’s been griping about it a lot lately. Could save him from heartburn.
What other economic statistics and metrics are BS? Every one that proves you wrong?

Answer the question about the $10,000 car.

You're trying to use any metric to support your 10 cent bump theory...

He is saying you are BS. You are not speaking to the actual money being paid for things right now, you are using a bunch of different things and arguing about them. Nominal, CPI, Actual, Cost over Time.... you are doing what you do best, creating an argument or arguments when there doesn't need to be one.

Which is more Rob $100 or $5?

I'm not defending anynody...and I didn't mention Rittenhouse...I'm pointing out your condoning of an 11 time convicted *** offender because he had a rough childhood...

Who in the fukk said I condoned it? I said he paid his debt to society and that's all he could do. You apparently don't care that your hero beats up little girls and never pays for it?
