My boss HATES front firing with a passion. I like it much better with my L5's cause I can feel it and I hear the subs rather than my trunk. Ive had the box both ways. I got more depth from it being rear facing but obviously it just a mess of echos and rattle. loud but i cant actually hear the beat as well. It seems to be the standard to have them rear facing, but why? convenience? looks? ive read all about different ways to fire and I dont see why people dont like shooting forward as much. At the same time I do see many people fireing forward on this site. For SQ, would you guys think front fire is better? and how far from the rear seats should it be? and I dont see a good thing in a trunk that is sealed from the back with no opening to the front of the car. it seems like then you will just be hearing very little of the sound waves coming from outside the car and through the back of the box. a guy i know has his set up like that and doesnt seem all that loud and it he is running about 400 more watts than me. please edumicate me on why i should not front fire my sealed box. thanks
