What is the general opinion on Bazooka bass tubes?

I'm thinking about getting a powered Bazooka bass tube for my 2001 Suzuki Swift hatchback. I'm not looking for earth shattering bass, but at the same time I still want a solid, loud and clean kick. I'm looking for the easiest and cleanest install as well so how do these Bazooka bass tubes with built-in amp fair?

General opinion? Overpriced. Sounds like crap. Complete waste of money.

you may aswell record the sounds of your fats on a tape or cd and just play it over and over on a contiuios loop bazookas should be blown up

or you could go to walmart or best buy and by a sub

i had one untill thieves took it one night while i was at work. i thank them for it, because over the next two days i was given 2 12's and a 4ch amp for free from a co-worker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but to give my opinion on the bazooka. no you will not rattle the cars around you at a stop light. no you won't be able to crank it and listen to the earth shattering rumble something better can pull off. but!!! if you just want something to bring up the low end a bit so you're not listening to nasally music, then i say go for it. if you don't have money to spend on something better and can get it for a sweet deal it's worth it. just don't expect much from it. don't make it a impulsive purchase just because it's quick and easy though, sit down and think about what you could do for a little bit more, you have more options.

Brother bought 2 at wal-mart for like $15 a piece a few years back. Just about the worst sounding sub I have ever listened to.
