What is the best amp for two IA LI 10's?

I will be running two IA LI 10's most likely in my mtx stealth box in the rear cab area of my Dakota and am looking for some real world advice on the amp or amps to go with. I was partial to either a JL 1000.1 or 2- JL500.1's as I already have a 300.4 pushing my comps and got a free bass knob put in for the JL's. The speakers will be tight in the enclosures but able to breathe. I also need the amp(s) to have all the protection to handle the IA's and really be able to push them.

if it matters the HU is an eclipse 8455 and using 2ga power kits and 8ga speakers at the subs and 12ga at the comps with a 300.4 powering the BA pros.

thanks for anyone help I am open to other amps but am looking to buy authorized as the warranty is a nice thing to have.

What is your price range? You could get a good amp for probably a lot less than those JL amps. You could also get away with more than 1000w if you know what you're doing. IA subs seem to be pretty underrated.

for the amp(s) say a top of 850 would like to spend much less but my local shop said two jl 500.1 would be 819 and I know there way over priced compared to whats on here

IA 20.1 and i see you said rear cab area of your dakota, so im assuming its an ext cab, why did you get 2 10s instead of a single 15? say a Death Penalty

why would you want such a big amp on two 10's for a daily driver?

its rated at 1800 watts at 1 ohm and puts out more than that, definately to much for the subs that are rated at 500 watts each.

As to why I am using two 10's is that they are going to get in an mtx thunderform box which has a max depth of 5.125" so I am very limited here. The reason is I need the club cab portion to completely open as I am often carrying one person in the back and always gear.

The bed of the truck is on a daily basis taken by a motorcycle, a few bikes, camping gear or just empty. I am a very active and outdoorsy type of guy and need to retain both areas.

As for where the amp goes I have hid the first one in the club cab wall between the interior of the exterior wall and the interior body panel. There is also a fan on the heat sinks and where the old rear speakers where I have made a channel that leads fresh air into the amp mounting location. I have taken a few looks after running the amp on 3 hour trips at **** near max volume and have found no temp problems.

The max amp size would be 18"x13"x3" and I would say that the 20.1 is WAY overkill for these two 10"s

As far as clipping I have a friend who works for a shop with an o-scope and a very good tuning nack and an eclipse deck in pro mode with full access to iserve. Thats half the reason I got the deck the SQ it can produce under proper conditions will kill all or most in its wake.

wrong. nick i believe, someone over at IA, is running two 187's off a 20.1 at .5ohm daily
